Welcome Russell Palmeter

Welcome R. Palmeter, 96, of Fishers, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Grand Brook Memory Care in Fishers.  He was born on October 23, 1924 to Leroy and Mae (Schroedel) Palmeter in Vassar, Michigan.

Welcome proudly served in the United States Army. Welcome graduated from Vassar High School and Michigan State University. He was an accountant for 40 years before retiring. Welcome will always be remembered for his smile and being happy. For many years he enjoyed wintering in Destin, Florida and loved to take a walk on the beach every morning.

He is survived by his children, Terry (Linda) Palmeter, Stephanie (Chris) Dahlke, Doug (Anne) Palmeter, and Greg (Sara) Palmeter; and daughter-in-law, Holly Palmeter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Helen Palmeter in 2001; son, David Palmeter; four brothers; and one sister.

Committal services with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 8, 2021 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm on Friday at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers.
