Ada P. Chastain

Ada P. Chastain, 77, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on September 20, 1937 to James and Clarabelle (Brock) Ledford in Harlan County, Kentucky.
Ada was a member of Green Valley Church of Christ. She retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. after 29 years, and had also worked at the Rainbow Roller Rink.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Chastain; son, Richard Chastain; three grandchildren, Chris Baker, Nicole Baker, and Pvt. Travis Chastain; four great-grandchildren, Hannah, Cody, Blake, & Summer Baker; and six sisters, Dorothy England, Louise Eads, Jo Ann Powell, Sue Erney, Sheila Chadwell, and Connie Wyatt.
In addition to her parents, Ada was preceded in death by her son, Roger Chastain; daughter, Melba Chastain; and brother, James D. Ledford.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2014, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Dr. Richard Bailey officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
