Alan Atkinson

Alan Dale Atkinson, 47, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2011 in Lawrence County, IN. He was born on November 7, 1963 to James Atkinson and Carmen (Weisse) Sharp in Muncie, Indiana.
Alan was a sales manager for Diebold Industries for 22 years in the Indiana and Indianapolis area. He was a Harley Davidson fan and belonged to the HOG's organization; was active in Girl Scouts, with his daughter, as a den dad; and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying whitewater rafting, camping, skydiving, scuba diving & skiing. Most importantly he loved spending time with his family. Even in death, Alan continued to give to others through his donation to the Indiana Organ Procurement Association.
He is survived by mother, Carmen Sharp of Albany, IN; wife, Carla Atkinson of Fishers, IN; sons, Shaun (Erin) Atkinson of Charlotte, NC & Jeff Atkinson of Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Barbara Atkinson of Fishers, IN; and sister, Connie Andrews of Mobile, AL.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, David Atkinson.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19, 2011 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
