Albert C. "Bud" Rees

Albert C. "Bud" Rees, 98, of Fishers, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at his home and surrounded by his family.  He was born on April 12, 1924 to Jesse and Helen (Rudd) Rees in Richmond, Indiana.

Bud graduated from Fortville High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. As a Private First Class in the Quartermaster Service Company, Bud and his fellow soldiers courageously stormed the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944, liberating France and forever altering the course of history. For over 40 years, he worked as a millwright for International Harvester, retiring in 1982.  Bud was a member of the Hamilton Masonic Lodge and a lifetime member of the NRA. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt and travel with his wife.

Bud is survived by his son, Mark (Karen) Rees; daughter-in-law, Marilyn; grandchildren, Todd (Rachel) Rees, Jennifer (Troy) Carolan, and Joshua (Kara) Rees; and great-grandchildren, Morgan, Cheaney, Rayel, Jolie, Ava, Easton, Waylon & Willow.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Chlora Beth Rees; son, David Scott Rees; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with Masonic Services beginning at 7:30 pm, on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers.  Services will be held at 11:00 am, with an additional visitation beginning at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Cyntheanne Christian Church, 13151 Cyntheanne Road in Fishers, with Rev. Larry Renihan officiating.  Burial will be at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
