Alberta "Rose" Vasily, left her earthly body to go to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, April 17, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born December 21, 1936 in Raysal, West Virginia to Fred M. Wyatt and Naomi Wyatt (Horn).
Rose worked for Indiana Bell and later was employed with Boehringer Mannheim Company. She graduated from Pineville High School in Pineville, West Virginia and was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Noblesville, Indiana.
Rose was the first women to hike over one thousand miles with the Indiana Hiking Club in one year. She also belonged to the Silver Notes. She had a great love for animals and loved traveling to their home in Naples, Flordia during the winter were she and Donald shared many memories together.
She is survived by her husband, Donald J. Vasily; step-son, Michael J. Vasily; step-daughter, Birgitta Malablocki; step-grandchild, Ethan Malablocki; step-grandchild, Blake Malablocki; step-daughter-in-law, Marla Albright; step-grandchild, Avery Vasily; step-grandchild, Chandler Vasily; step-grandchild, Elijah Vasily; sister, Hester Kelly; brother, Miles E. Wyatt; sister, Renva E. Gunter; sister, Linda Muterspaugh; sister, Frankie Jung; sister, Carol Garner; and sister, Freda Wyatt.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, William Jackson Wyatt; sister, Billie Jo Boggs; and brother, Ben Wyatt.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Bethel A.M.E. Church with Rev. Mallory Tarrance officiating.
