Alice Burris

Alice Anne Burris, 85, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born on March 26, 1927 in Indianapolis. She was the daughter of Mary Chandler; and the adopted daughter of Elmer and Leo Scherer.
Alice Anne retired in 1982 after 31 years with Firestone Industrial Products. She was a 1945 graduate of Jackson Central High School; a lifetime member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Noblesville; and was a music & cat lover.
She is survived by cousins, Douglas Lee, Daniel Brown & Wilma Gene Mahoney; and special friends, Jack & Carol Ott, Craig Ott and Alicia (Ott) Hughes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Burris in 1991.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 14, 2012, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am immediately prior to the service. Rev. Doug Gast will officiate. Burial will be at Scherer Cemetery in Arcadia.
