Alice M. Castetter, 91, of Noblesville, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. She was born on December 14, 1928 to Darb and Viva (Burgess) Brown in Detroit, Michigan.
Alice received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Indiana University where she was a member of Phi Delta Epsilon Sorority. For 12 years, she owned Alice's Beauty Nook, and then taught 4th grade for Stony Creek Elementary in Noblesville for 15 years. Alice was a member of Union United Methodist Church, Monterey Village Extension Homemakers, Noblesville Senior Citizens Organization, and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association. She volunteered for Prevail and enjoyed sewing and reading. Alice loved baking desserts, visiting with her family, and Taco Bell.
She is survived by her children, Mary Anne (Doug) Cowart, Marsha Probst, Larry (Valerie) Castetter, Janet (Earl) Grizzle, and Laura (Casey) Cypert; brothers, David Brown, Harold Brown, and Jay Brown; sister, Mary Helen Boles; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Castetter in 2005; and siblings, Joan King, Deloris Lacharite, Carl Brown, Mike Brown, Frank Brown, Ralph Brown, Ron Brown, Stephen Brown, and Gerald Brown.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation from 12:00 noon to the time of service at the funeral home. Pastor Hack McPhee will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
