Alice Kay Dust Martin, 69, of Fishers, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2012 after a valiant two-year battle with Leukemia.
A 1964 graduate of Ball State University, Alice also earned her Masters Degree in Education from Butler University and her Masters in Religious Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans. Alice was a member of the Carmel Chapter of Tri Kappa and served as the Chapter's President. She served as a Pastoral Associate at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church in Fishers for 20 years, retiring in August of this year.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, James; daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Pickett and JoAnn Orr; sister, Margaret Dust; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Isidor and Nettie Dust; brothers, Tom and Gerald; and sister, Jackie.
The Martin family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Keith Logie and the caring nurses and staff at the Central Indiana Cancer Center. Our heartfelt thanks also go out to the nurses in the Oncology Unit at Community North with a special thank you to the Unit's resident angel, Heather Young.
Visitation will be held at Holy Spirit at Geist Catholic Church, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers, IN on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 4:30PM to 7:30PM and Wednesday, August 29, 2012, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11AM at Holy Spirit with interment immediately following at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Rd. in Fishers.
