Alice Legros Snider, 95, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away on Saturday evening, December 21, 2019 at Wellbrooke of Westfield in Westfield, Indiana. She was born on July 31, 1924 to Leon Jean and Laverna Blanche (Sherry) Legros of Eaton, Indiana.
Alice attended Ball State University before graduating from Butler University with a degree in elementary education. She was an active member of the Noblesville First United Methodist Church, the Blatchley Nature Study Club, Eastern Star, American Association of University Women, and the philanthropic sorority, Psi Iota Xi for whom she served as the executive secretary from 1967 through 1988. A strong proponent of early childhood education, Alice worked as a pre-school teacher for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Julianne (John Simmons) Snider and Susan (Peter) Haviar; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Virgil Snider; son, John Victor Snider; brothers, Leroy, Lawrence, and Edward Legros; sisters, Leona (Soros), Josephine (Craven), and Yvonne (Elton) Legros.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Eaton, Indiana.
