Amanda Jean (Eller) Kirby, 84, Nashville, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Harbour Manor Care Center in Noblesville. She was born July 31, 1924 in Noblesville, Indiana to Joseph and Grace (Beaver) Eller.
Amanda and Clarence Kirby were married January 31, 1942.
Amanda was a talented artist and enjoyed painting scenery in the Nashville area. She was a member of Morgantown 1st Christian Church, in Morgantown, IN. She was also a member of Hamilton County Artist's Association (Honorary); Hoosier Salon; Indianapolis Art League Foundation; Brown County Art Guild, Inc.; The Indiana Artist's Club; The Art Association of Indianapolis; International Society of Artists, and Watercolor Society of Indiana.
She is survived by son, Joel (Karen) Kirby of Noblesville; two grandchildren, William (Debra) Kirby of Lindale, TX, and Leslie (Jason) Kirby-Miles of Evanston, IL; two great-grandchildren, Emma Kirby & Oliver Miles and sister, Betty Shickley of Nashville.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Clarence Kirby, who died in 1994.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at Morgantown 1st Christian Church, with Pastor Burt Brock officiating. Friends may call Saturday, March 14, 10:00 -11:00AM at Morgantown 1st Christian Church. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery.
