Andrew Compton

Andrew Compton, 18, of Carmel, left us on October 28, 2010 to be with his heavenly Father and those who had gone before him. He died in Louisville, KY where he was attending Sullivan University. He was studying culinary arts with aspirations of becoming a chef.
Andrew was born on February, 17, 1992 in Indianapolis, IN to John and Angela Compton. Andrew was a Riley/ECMO kid. He grew up in Carmel where he attended Forest Dale Elementary, Clay Jr. High, and graduated from Carmel High School in May, 2010. 
Andrew loved all animals and had a passion for cooking.  He was particularly fond of desserts. Andrew was a quiet, sweet, kind, trusting, laid-back, friendly, loveable kid.  Andrew may have been quiet in public, but behind closed doors his glowing personality shined.
He is survived by his parents, John and Angela Compton; brother, Derek; great-aunt, Marzetta Combs; aunts, Cheryl Lamb, Stella Henderson, Verna Lamb, Judy Compton; uncles, Bill Lamb, Kenneth Henderson, Charles Compton; cousins, Steve & Brad Combs, Jennifer, Steve, Justin, Shane & Chance Henderson, Matt, Sam & Harry Compton, Sean Vance, Alex Lamb; and many friends.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Grace Community Church in Noblesville, with Pastor David Rodriguez officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Riley Children's Foundation, 30 S. Meridian St., Ste. 200, Indianapolis, IN, 46204.  Please include the following info in the memo of any checks sent: John & Angela Compton, (their address) and designate the donation for either NICU or ECMO.Online condolences can be made at www.randallroberts.com.
