Andy Illyes
Andy Illyes, 64, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born on February 25, 1949 to Benjamin and Leeanna (Roudebush) Illyes in Noblesville, IN.
Andy served in the banking industry for 42 years. He started in 1971 with American National Bank and then when it was sold, he became Regional President of Ameritrust for one year. In 1992 he became Executive Vice President of Metro Bank in Noblesville; and he finished his career as a senior loan officer at Community Bank in Noblesville, where he had been for the past ten years. He was a 1967 graduate of Hamilton Heights High School; a 1971 graduate of Purdue University, where he was a member of Alpha Gamma RHO; and a 1984 graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Banking. He was a member of First Christian Church in Noblesville; a charter member of the Midday Rotary Club in Noblesville; and had served on the Board of Directors for the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club for 26 years. His prior community service included Riverview Hospital Foundation, United Way and the American Heart Association, and other community organizations. His grandchildren were his passion; and he was an avid golfer and fisherman; and loved sports and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Illyes; daughters, Heidi Lyskava and Abby (Kris) Nielsen; son, Tim (Kim) Illyes; sister, Cheri (Ken) Newcom; grandchildren, Henry Lyskava, Rose Lyskava, Maddie Nielsen, Emily Nielsen and Andrew M. Illyes; and several nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 13, 2014, at First Christian Church of Noblesville, 16377 Herriman Blvd. in Noblesville, with Pastor John Davis officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm also at the church. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
