Anna Celusnak, 91, of Fishers, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Hamilton Trace of Fishers. She was born on May 27, 1933 to August and Anna Cernicky in Dobšiná, Czechoslovakia.
Anna was a remarkable woman. She came to the United States when she was 4 years old. She grew up in Detroit and met her husband of 61 years, Bernard, there. Anna worked as a secretary for Chrysler in her early career, and afterwards took on her most important career as mother. She was very spiritual and religious. Upon Bernie's retirement, they moved to Higgins Lake, Michigan, where they lived for 20 years. They enjoyed fishing, boating, and grilling outdoors with their grandchildren, before moving to Indiana in 2012. Family meant everything to Anna, and she loved having them around her. She also loved shopping on QVC and had a vast movie collection.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Daniel) Byrne; son, Michael (Cynthia) Celusnak; sister, Viera (Lee) Caudill; grandchildren, Kelly (Eric) Kniowski, Kristin (Dustin) May, Kimberly (Matthew) O'Malley, and Brian Celusnak; and her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Marlow, Grayson and Luke.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Celusnak in 2016.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church, 11441 Hague Road in Fishers, with visitation from 10:00 am to the time of service. Burial will be at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.
