Anna M. McMillan, 81, Noblesville, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010, at her home.
She was born June 28, 1929, to Johann and Clara (Meier) Ratschmier in Schwabach, Germany. She grew up in worn-torn Germany during World War II.
Anna had worked at Firestone Industrial Products 1950-52; and various retail stores in Noblesville, including Danners for 20 years and Weldy Drug Store for eight years.
She is survived by a sister, Clara Bub, Germany; a brother, Willie Ratschmier, Germany; five brother and sister in-laws, Charles (Dorothy) McMillan Sr., Noblesville, Jack McMillan, Florida, Bob (Betty) McMillan, Lapel, Larry McMillan, Kentucky, Bob Johnson, Tennessee, and Wayne (Betty) Stamey, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the Charlie Spartz family, Noblesville.
In addition to her parents, her husband, former Noblesville Police Chief Ralph McMillan, preceded her in death in 1989. They were married Nov. 30, 1948, at a Catholic church in Germany.
Private graveside services will be conducted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society for Hamilton County.
