Anna E. Tipton, 76, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at home in Noblesville. She was born on December 25, 1934 to the late Neal and Ethel (Fraley) Simpson in Drift, Kentucky.
Anna worked in the cafeteria as a cook for many years at Stony Creek Elementary School, in Noblesville, as well as being a bus driver for Noblesville Schools. She was a very active member at Union United Methodist Church. For many years she was very involved in arranging funeral dinners at the church. She also was in the Ladies Bowling League on Mondays and Thursdays at Star Dust Bowling Alley for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Robert H. Tipton of Noblesville, IN; daughter, Virginia (David) Tipton Sutton; son, Curtis (Laura Lee) Tipton; daughter, Brenda (Brian) Tipton Bannon, brothers, Harold Simpson, Charles Simpson, Neal Simpson; sister, Sally Lockridge; four grandsons; and two great-granddaughters.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 2, 2011, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home,1150 Logan Street , in Noblesville, with Rev. Dr. James Witty Jr. officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 1, 2011 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
