Anna Mildred Whittaker

Anna Mildred Whittaker passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010, in Nashville, TN.  She was born March 31, 1917, in Salem, Indiana to Charles Dolphin and Maude (Brock) Bowers.
Mildred was a devoted and beloved wife, mother and grandmother; and a loving and tireless homemaker.  She was an avid grower of African violets, and a faithful member of the Sheridan Wesleyan Church.
She was proceeded in death by her husband John Whittaker; her daughter Charlene Kay Givens and son-in-law, Ralph Givens.
She is survived by her daughter, Joanne (husband, Donald) Emry; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 2:00PM at the Sheridan Six Points Wesleyan Church, 1545 West 226th Street, Sheridan, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Sheridan Six Points Wesleyan Church Building Fund -or- the American Heart Association, 208 South LaSalle Street, Ste. 1500, Chicago, IL 60604.
