Arline Reynolds, unexpectedly passed away on Thursday, December 12th, 2103, at her home in Fishers, Indiana. She was 94.
Arline was born in Castleton, Indiana on February 19th, 1919, the daughter of Omar and Muriel Zook. She was married 69 years to the late A.W. "Mac" Reynolds, Jr. on December 31st, 1938, who passed away on February 17th, 2008.
After graduating from Castleton High School and marrying Mac, Arline worked at the family farm, until helping Mac open the family business, Reynolds Farm Equipment, Inc., located in Fishers, Indiana on December 15th, 1955. Today the family- business has four Indiana locations, one in Ohio and one in Kentucky.
She was involved within the community and organizations such as Carmel Music Study Club, member of Eastern Star, past- President and District Officer of United Methodist Women, but certainly recognized as being a member of the Fishers United Methodist Church, and serving as the church organist for over 25 years. She also enjoyed oil painting, cake decorating, sewing, and knitting. With nearly everyone she came in contact with she gave them a gift of one her hand-knitted wash cloths. And she accomplished writing an autobiography of her life and family in her penned book, "Leaning Toward Sigman's: Life On The Hill.? She loved and adored her family, friends and God. She was extremely honored to be able to "flip the switch" for the annual Reynolds Farm Equipment Free Christmas lights display, and hoped that the community enjoyed the joy that they brought them, as well as to her.
Arline is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; Jesse, Myron and Blaine Zook; and great-grandson, Kyle Benson.
She is survived by two sons, Larry A. (Patti) Reynolds, Gary A. (Cindy) Reynolds; a daughter, Mary A. (Dave) Lawson; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, December 15th, 2013 at Fishers United Methodist Church in Fishers, Indiana. Services will be held on Monday, December 16th, 2013 at 10:30am. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Fishers, IN.
