Arnold 'Clyde' Cooper, 81, Noblesville, passed away Friday, May 15, 2009 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born August 5, 1927 in Russell County, Virginia to Robert and Elizabeth (Meade) Cooper.
Clyde was a WWII veteran. He retired from Firestone in 1981, after 26 years of employment there. He had also worked for 10 years for the Nickle Plate Railroad in Indiana and the Clinchfield Railroad in Virginia. He attended First Church of God in Noblesville, where he drove the church bus.
He and Doris were married on August 15, 1964.
In addition to his wife, Doris (Scarberry) Cooper, he is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Creech of Athen, TX, and Jenny Andrews of Anderson, IN; son, Joseph Bradley of Noblesville, IN; five grandchildren, Jessica & Ashley Creech, Elizabeth Bradley, and Michael & Kendra Andrews; two great-grandchildren, Braxton Soukup & Tyler Wood; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with Brother Jay Miller officiating. Friends may call Monday, May 18, 4:00 - 8:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
