Arthur W. Atwell

Arthur W. Atwell, 88, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020 at his home in Noblesville.  He was born on May 15, 1932 to Wilbur and Arebella (Cubert) Atwell in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Art proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  After his retirement from Borden Milk Company, he was a CDL driver for Perfecto.  Art was a member of White River Christian Church, where he served in the food pantry and was known as the "candy man", and the Cicero American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Atwell; children, Mike Atwell of Lancaster, TX, Susan Cress of Becknell, IN, Regina (John) Wiley of Quincy, IN, David Hoots of Noblesville, Dawn (Tony) Herron of Noblesville, and Dianna (Marc) Montoney of Cincinnati, OH; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ronald, Billy, and Larry.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Monty, Robert, Kenny, Kay, and Lois.

Due to COVID-19, those attending will be encouraged to wear face masks, social distancing will be practiced, and those at high risk are encouraged to not attend.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at White River Christian Church, 1685 North 10th Street in Noblesville, with Pastor Fred Knoll officiating.  Visitation will be from 12 noon, to the time of service at the church.  Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
