Barbara Jean Munchel

Barbara Jean Munchel, 71, of Fishers, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis.  She was born on November 7, 1952 to John A. and Mildred (Floyd) Munchel in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Barb was an entrepreneur, owning several different businesses throughout her life.  Her most successful business was Cigar Haven in Fishers, which she owned for over 10 years.  Barb had a passion for her work, she never took a vacation, and loved her customers.  She loved bulldogs, which was the Cigar Haven mascot.  She enjoyed SciFi and Kung-Fu movies, aquariums, playing chess, watching tennis on TV and dragons.  

She is survived by her sisters, Carol Ann Morrow and her husband Larry, Melanie Chacon, Mary Posner and her husband Lou, Theresa McClure and her husband Don Geyra, and Janice Markellos; and brothers, John F. Munchel and his wife Sheila, and Wayne Munchel and his wife Denette. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her sister, Lara Munchel.

In keeping with Barb's wishes, cremation will take place.  No plans for a memorial service have been made.
