Bernard 'Bernie' Schlimgen, went peacefully home into the arms of his Lord on September 4, 2012, in Noblesville IN.
Bernie retired from Ameritech Services (Wisconsin Bell) after 38 years of service. Bernie and Rita raised their family in Waukesha before retiring in Mission Texas in 1998 where they have enjoyed many years of friends and golf.
Bernie is survived by his wife of 57 years, Rita; their five children and spouses, Sandy and Michael WeWora, Dave and Mickie Schlimgen, Mark and Lisa Schlimgen, Keith and Tami Schlimgen and Greg and Jean Schlimgen; 14 grandchildren, Nicholle, Danielle, Tony, Justin, Ashley, Robin, Jeremy, Josh with spouses and Michelle, Steven, Joel, Chris, Katie and Amanda; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Fran; and a brother, Norbert.
Bernie was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Jenny, Mathew and Jared; parents, Arthur and Florence; brothers, Lawrence, Edwin and Bob; and a sister, Teresa.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, September 15, 2012, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 West State Highway 59, Waukesha, WI 53189-6323, phone: (262) 549-022, with visitation from 9:30 - 11:00 am.
