Beth Whisman of Atlanta, Indiana, was called home by her Lord and Savior on July 14, 2024. Beth was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on May 8, 1964 to Alan and Barbara (Boffo) Myers, who survive. She grew up on a farm in Carmel, Indiana and was a lifetime member of Gray Friends Church. As a child she loved being outside and getting into some mischief around the farm. She enjoyed spending countless hours on her favorite pony, Dawn, playing pass the bucket on horseback, driving cattle, and leading one of her 4-H steers onto the porch so she could sit in the swing. Beth was a ten-year Hamilton County 4-H member and participated in several projects including swine, beef and Jr. Leaders. She was also a past co-director of the 4-H Queen Pageant. Beth was a 1982 graduate of Carmel High School and a 1986 graduate of Purdue University.
Beth married Tim Whisman on September 16, 1989. Together they had 2 children, Nathan and Ellen. Beth instilled the importance of faith, kindness, positivity, honesty and many other traits into her children. She loved her family and friends dearly and spending time with them were some of her most important moments.
Beth spread her kindness and positive outlook to everyone she came into contact with. She always found the positive in every situation. She would offer her opinion or advice when asked and would follow with “whatever makes your heart happy.”
Along with her parents, Beth is survived by her husband, Tim; son, Nathan; daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Tyler Anderson; her favorite granddaughter, Alyce; brother, Mark Myers; sister, Tana Crampton; nephews Andrew (Alex) Crampton and Cole (Samantha) Whisman; nieces, Jill Crampton and Susan Crampton; mother-in-law, Shirley Whisman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Beth M. Whisman; and many cousins who she loved dearly and had extremely close bonds with.
Beth was preceded in death by her grandparents; infant sister; father-in-law; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Friends may call from 2-5 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Gray Friends Church, 4810 East 146th Street, Noblesville, Indiana. Her celebration of life and graveside services will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Beth’s honor to Gray Friends Church, 4810 East 146th Street, Noblesville, IN 46062 and Hamilton County 4-H, 2003 Pleasant Street, Noblesville, IN 46060.
In honor of Beth, always be kind and do whatever makes your heart happy.
