Betty Lee (Brattain) Carr, 92, Fishers, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 2, 2018. She was born March 30, 1925, to Bert O. Brattain and Nellie B. Brattain (Sylvester), who now reside in Heaven.
Betty attended Durbin Elementary School and graduated from Noblesville High School in 1943. She assembled head lamps for Jeep at Guide Lamp in Anderson, during WWII; and then worked for L.S. Ayres and Wassons in downtown Indianapolis, and later for L.S. Ayres at Glendale and Fair Store in Anderson.
She attended Lincoln Bible Institute in Lincoln, Illinois, where she met John Paul Carr, whom she married on June 30, 1950. She was a help mate to her husband in his teaching and ministry professions.
Betty greatly enjoyed working with children and teenagers daily, through Vacation Bible School, church camp, and Evangelistic meetings; and loved seeing people accept the Lord into their lives so they too could live a "Good Life".
John and Betty Carr were the parents of John Mark Carr (Shawn); and grandparents of three grandsons, three granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren.
