Betty Dyer

Betty Lang Ruja Dyer, 95, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Wellbrooke of Westfield.  She was born on April 8, 1922 to Gustave and Edith (Williams) Lang in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Betty was a 1940 graduate of Shortridge High School and was an English major at Butler University.  She lived in Los Angeles, CA for 30 years.  Betty married Robert and worked for many years at the Noblesville Public Library.  She was an avid gardener and naturalist, and enjoyed cooking, sewing, and quilting.  Betty was a member of Sheridan Homemaker Club and Eastern Star.
She is survived by her daughter, Marne Ruja Treves (Ben Gregory); son, Mark Dyer; grandchildren, Jake Treves, Aaron Treves, David Dyer and Dawn Dyer; and niece, Megan Mercer.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dyer; and son, Mark Ruja.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road in Noblesville, with visitation from 12:00 noon to the time of service.  Entombment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
