Betty L. Martin, 89, of Atlanta, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in Noblesville, Indiana. She was born on February 27, 1924 to Lee and Alice (Switzer) Lewis in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Betty worked for Firestone as an assembly worker before retiring in 1985. She was a Sunday School teacher at the First Church of God in Noblesville, where she was a 50 year member. She also attended Open Door Free Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Annie (Neal) Whelchel, Donna (Larry) Smock, and Karen (Reynaldo) Chavez; son, Daniel (Jane) Timmons; step-sons, Jerry, Mike, and Tom Sullivan; grandchildren, Mike (Anita) Rodgers, Jennifer Crawford, Lisa Chavez, Carrie (Kevin) Stinson, Jesse (Liberty) Cook, Luke (Nikki) Timmons, Buddy Whelchel, Weston (Fiance Anna Fraser) Whelchel, & Steve Smock; and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Martin; and her husband, Tom Sullivan; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am immediately prior to the service. Pastor Jeff Gammon will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
