Betty Shipley

Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Shipley, 93, of Fishers, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC. She was born on July 4, 1923 to Jeremiah and Alice (Cox) O'Hara in Peru, Indiana.
Betty was a 1946 graduate of the Indiana School of Business, and had an early career with Eli Lilly and then St. Charles, Illinois schools.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary (Michael) Tuitt, and Ann (Patrick) Ryan. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest "Buck" Shipley; and sister, Alice O'Hara.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Stanley R. Sutton will officiate. Burial will take place at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
