Betty Earlene (Wilson) Williams, 88, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 9, 2014, at Riverview Health in Noblesville while surrounded by her family. She was born November 17, 1925, in Cave City, Arkansas, the oldest of four children, to Gladys (Landers) and Guy Wilson.
She graduated in 1944 from Cave City High School where she met and married the love of her life, Roy Frank Williams of Cave City, Arkansas on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1947.
She will be remembered for her steadfast faith in Christ and her love for her family. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church in Anderson, Indiana. She faithfully served through the years as a Sunday School teacher, secretary to the Ladies Auxiliary, church pianist, choir member and in any other capacity she was able for the furtherance of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Earlene was a homemaker who was guided by her faith in raising her children whom she loved and adored. She very much embraced being a grandmother and great-grandmother that always made herself available to them whenever possible. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Roy, of 64 years of marriage.
Earlene had many hobbies she enjoyed, which included reading and writing poetry, quilting, sewing, gardening, canning, working cross-word puzzles, singing and playing the piano. She also enjoyed garage sales and traveling to family reunions.
