Blanch L. Matherly, 73, of Noblesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at her home with her family at her side. She was born on April 23, 1941 to Elbert and Hester (Cravens) Lacey in Louisville, Kentucky.
Blanch was a homemaker and a member of the Noblesville Eagles, American Legion, and the VFW. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
She is survived by daughter, Amy (Tom) Simpson; grandchildren, Denver E. Sampson, Quentin (Amy) Sampson, Chelsea Sampson, and Lacey Simpson; great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Lexi Sampson; brothers, Jim, Robert, and Clifford Lacey; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Earl Garland Matherly on November 5, 2011; sister, Ella Mae Beaver; and brothers, Charles and Bill Lacey.
A public graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, July 7, 2014, at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, 9700 Allisonville Road, in Indianapolis, with Rev. Paul Matherly officiating.
