Bradley Meredith Hanke, age 69, relocated to a gated community on January 12, 2018 after a 16-month battle with cancer. The gated community is beautiful and exclusive, but everyone is welcome. Just use the password "Jesus is my Savior" to gain access.
Born to Orion and Betty Hanke in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 24, 1948, he married Sandra Hanson on December 21, 1968. They moved to Kokomo, Indiana in 1971 when he took a job with Syndicate Sales. He worked there until his retirement in 2016.
Brad was a disciple of Jesus Christ and attended Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Carmel. He showed not only his family and friends but complete strangers what it looks like to live a life as a man of God. Brad would never take credit for his good works, but we are all blessed by them. Many generations know Christ because of him and because of his commitment to God and putting himself last. Brad had a positive impact on nearly everyone who knew him.
Brad was a husband, father, grandfather and friend. He cherished his four daughters and loved his family. He leaves behind his wife, Sandy; daughters Shaun (Adam) Monhaut, Meredith (Eric) Carmack, Rebecca (Phil) Kopka, and Jennifer (Carlos) Martinez; sixteen grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two brothers; and two sisters. He was proceeded in death by his parents; and his brother, Brian.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Cornerstone Lutheran Church, 4850 East Main Street in Carmel, with visitation from 12:00 noon to the time of service. Rev. Daniel Schumm will officiate. Brad's care has been entrusted to Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes in Noblesville.
In lieu of flowers and donations, we sincerely ask that you simply take time to make a memory with your loved ones.
