Brenda Catherine Clapp

Brenda Catherine Clapp, 51, of Noblesville, peacefully passed into Jesus' arms on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born on July 25, 1965, to Charles T. Sladek, Sr. and Virginia (Olander) Pickett in Park Ridge, Illinois.
 
Brenda was a member of Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, DeVeau's School of Gymnastics Booster Club, the Hamilton County Great Banquet, as well as the Alpha Xi Epsilon sorority.  She enjoyed spending time with family, exercising, quilting, music, reading, and working crossword puzzles.  Brenda also enjoyed biking and boat rides, but one of her greatest loves was watching and participating in her girls' activities.  
Brenda was a Nurse Practitioner with OrthoIndy for 25 years.  She earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Valparaiso University and her Masters in Nursing from Indiana University.  Brenda loved her patients and colleagues at OrthoIndy.
 
She is survived by her husband, Sean Clapp; mother, Virginia (Oscar) Pickett; daughters, Haley & Madelin "Maddie" Clapp; brother, Charles Todd (Tammy) Sladek, Jr.; sisters, Christine Ann (Chris) Benstein and  Lara Sladek; brother George Sladek; sister-in-law, Julie (Dustin) Hunt; aunt, "Auntie Joyce" Sladek Bracke; nieces & nephews, Nicholas & Charles Sladek, Mary, Mark & Santina DiPietro, and Halli & Gavin Hunt; her in-laws, Glenn & Marilyn Clapp; and her great-nieces, Arabella Straley and Olive DiPietro.
 
Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Charles Todd Sladek, Sr.
 
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, 10500 East 126th Street, in Fishers. Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the church, with an additional visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Brian Derrer will officiate.

The family offers it thanks and deep appreciation for the doctors, nurses, and staff of University Hospital BMT Unit, who gave incredible love and care to Brenda during her final weeks.
