Brienna Joy Beer

Brienna Joy Beer was born September 11, 1999 in Indianapolis, Indiana.  The fourth of six children, she was funny, smart, witty, driven, passionate, a fierce friend, ally, and most of all, short.  Brienna paid attention to the smallest details, making her an incredibly thoughtful gift giver.  She loved her family, friends, movies, dogs, Chris Evans, Lizzo, Harry Styles, macaroni and cheese, and dino chicken nuggets.  

A recent graduate of Purdue University, Brienna maintained a 4.0 GPA until her last semester when she earned her first B.  She had planned to attend New York University this fall to pursue a masters degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness and Post-Master’s Advanced Certificate in LGBTQ+ Health, Education, and Social Services.  Brienna was passionate about providing mental health services to underserved communities and planned to pursue a doctorate after graduating from NYU.  

Instead of leaving for school, Brienna stepped into eternity July 29, 2022.  She was 22.  She is survived by her parents Robert and Rebecca Beer; family, Matthew, Susan, Luke, Alice, and Paisley Graham; Matt, Ashely, Ezra, and Milo Beer; Mike, Emilee, David, and Ellyse Beer; Brittany Beer and Ebbe Beer.  She is also survived by her grandparents Clem and Charlene Beer and Marcel Tilmant.  

She will be deeply missed.

Her family will be starting a scholarship fund for women of color pursuing a masters or doctorate in a mental health field.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the scholarship fund so we can support Brienna’s passion for mental health access.  

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Venture Christian Church, 14501 Hazel Dell Parkway in Carmel, Indiana.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am to the time of service at the church.  Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
