Bruce Rolland Avery

Bruce Rolland Avery, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at a VA foster home in Indianapolis.  He was born on April 19, 1928 to the late Arthur and Clementine (Thompkins) Avery in Noblesville, Indiana.
Bruce was a 1946 graduate of Noblesville High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked as a supervisor for Container Corp of America in Anderson.  Bruce was a member of Bethel AME Church of Noblesville and Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity.  He enjoyed golfing at Forest Park and River Glen courses.
Bruce is survived by his daughters, Tracy Avery and Monica (Alex) Coleman; sisters, Sharon King and Marva Mitchel; two grandchildren, Lauren (Lateef) Hill and Micah Thomas; and a host of nieces & nephews.
Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan Street in Noblesville, with visitation from 1:00 pm to the time of service.  Rev. Mallory H. Tarrance will officiate.  Burial with military rites will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery in Noblesville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 50 East 91st Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
