Bruce G. Hoffmann, 71, of Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at home. He was born on September 25, 1939 to Harvey and Lorene (Schnute) Hoffmann in Evansville, Indiana. Bruce was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. He graduated from the University of Evansville and was a member of ROTC. Bruce served in the Airforce as a pilot and a communications intelligence officer. He was an insurance representative for Lutheran Brotherhood. Bruce worked at Indiana Bell Telephone in the marketing department. He enjoyed softball and fishing, he was a wood worker and enjoyed making clocks, he was also an avid car collector and motorcyclist. Bruce was a member of "God's Sod Squad" at Bethel Lutheran Church. Most of all, his favorite thing in the world was just being grandpa. He is survived by wife, Monica Hoffmann, son, Jeff (Kelly) Hoffmann, daughter, Lori (Mike) Teter, daughter, Deanna (Bob) Arrasmith, son, Gary (Lana) McHugh, son, Kirk (Evelyn) Hoffmann, grandchildren, Cory & Shannon Hoffmann, Clay, Cody & Tanner Lawson, Ashlynne, Nicole (Joe) Kordenbrock, Christie Garrett, Brad & Aidan McHugh, Eric Hoffmann, and Noah Meredith, and great-grandchild, Kyla Lawson. Bruce was awaiting the special arrival of new great grandchild, baby Kordenbrock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Ellerbrook. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, January 9, 2011, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 20650 Cumberland Rd., Noblesville, IN 46062, with the Rev. Douglas Gast officiating.
