Cameron Andrew Thompson

Cameron Andrew Thompson was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 13, 1984. Cameron loved music and books. He was a fierce competitor and great fan of fun and games. Among so many things, he was a chef, singer, archer, cyclist and bonsai artist. His energy was boundless and his enjoyment of life was infectious and inspiring.
Early in life, he found his calling in the restaurant industry and never deviated from his path. He graduated from Pike High School in 2003, and summa cum laude from Sullivan University in 2006. He felt blessed to be able to make a living in a field that combined the two great loves of his life: making people happy and fantastic food. Cameron was a valued member of the Hal Smith Family, working at their Charleston's, Redrock Canyon Grill and Upper Crust Wood fired Pizza restaurants. His career took him from Indianapolis to Louisville to Mesa, Arizona to Oklahoma City and finally to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
We lost Cameron far too soon on Sunday, January 10, 2016. He is survived by his mother Marilyn Derocher, of Indianapolis, IN; father David (Dana) Thompson of Sheridan, IN; sisters Suzanne Pierobon of New York, NY, Joyce Detrich and Jahna Thompson of Indianapolis, IN and Emily (Leigh) Winslow of Youngsville, NC; nephew Michael; nieces Zowie, Grace, Rebekah and Emma. He will be missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, his partner Noël, his extensive restaurant family and host of long-time friends.
Visitation will be held from 2pm to 7pm on Thursday January 21, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, IN, with a memorial service beginning at 5:30pm.
