Carl R. Kumming, 92, of Fishers, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born on January 28, 1924 to Carl Herman and Ella Myrtle (Wampler) Kumming in Lafayette, Indiana.
Carl retired in 1982 from Indiana Bell, where he had been an engineering supervisor. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy and was a WWII veteran; and belonged to Cyntheanne Christian Church in Fishers. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge; a lifetime member of the Patrol Craft Sailors Assoc (PCSA); and a past-member of the Lions Club in Martinsville. He had also been an avid CUBS fan for 82 years.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Jean Kumming; daughter, Pamela Kumming; son, Gary (Debra) Kumming; and grandchildren, Alanna, Logan and Christa Kumming.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Kumming; and sister, Mildred Phillips.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers with Rev. Larry J. Renihan officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on June 10, 2016 at the funeral home.
