Carl Frederick VanAlstyne, 62, of Fishers, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at home. He was born on September 4, 1950 to Carl and Iva (Welling) VanAlstyne in Coshocton, Ohio.
Carl was a Retail Journeyman Meat Cutter for local grocery stores. He lettered in basketball and football in the Westfield High School sports program; and he enjoyed his music, camping, fishing and traveling. He loved spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by wife, Cathy Arlene VanAlstyne; daughter, Christa (Patrick) Parker; son, Bradley (Betty) VanAlstyne; and grandchildren, Tyler Bradley VanAlstyne, Alyson Nicole Parker, Jaden Carl VanAlstyne, Kelsie Victoria Busby, Meghan Grace Parker & Chaz Korbin VanAlstyne.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Joseph J VanAlstyne.
Private family services will be held.
