C.R. "Ike" Eicher, 72, of McCordsville passed away Monday, August 12, 2013 at home. He was born November 25, 1940 to Alvin Sommers and Rose Eicher in Lake Township, Ohio. His parents preceded him in death.
Ike worked for Allison Engine in the quality control department before retiring in 2003. He was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War; was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Noblesville, and was a member of the American Legion Post #64. He loved listening to bluegrass music and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Nola Eicher; daughters, Pam, Debbie, and Paula; stepsons, Shannon and Jeffrey Kitchen; two sisters; four brothers; and seven step-grandchildren.
Services will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 12:00 noon at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home 1150 Logan Street, Noblesville with visitation beginning at 10:00 am immediately prior to the service. Rev. Rick Bell will officiate. Burial with honors by the United States Navy, will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
