Carolyn Ann Kincannon, surrounded by her family, sent up her spirit on December 4, 2013. She was born to the late Helen and Earl Smith, January 3, 1938, in Indianapolis, IN.
Carolyn graduated Saint Agnes High School in 1956 and attended Marian College. She was a cosmetologist, owning her own salon on the north side of Indianapolis, The Hair Studio. She moved to Marathon, FL, in 1986 were she found continued success as manager and, later, owner of Sombrero Marina. Her true love and greatest success, however, was in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Possessing a fun-loving spirit, she brightened every place she entered with her warm and generous smile. Carolyn enriched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, William Kincannon, of Sebastian, FL; brothers, Gerald Smith, of Cape Coral, FL and David Smith of Indianapolis; her five children, Kathleen (James) Sweeney of Indianapolis, Cynthia (Timothy) Kelly of Fort Mill, SC, Jeanne (Matthew) Kelsch of Carmel, IN, Christopher Cooper of Indianapolis, and Anne (Scott) Chamness of Indianapolis; her 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents; and sister, Janice (Smith) Beck of Indianapolis.
Visitation will be held from 4:00PM - 7:00PM, followed by a rosary prayer service, on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Randall and Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Carmel, IN.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America in memory of Carolyn Kincannon.
