Carolyn Klotz

Carolyn Langsford Klotz, age 88, of Franklin, was born January 1, 1921 in Marion County, Indiana. She was the daughter of Earnest and Cora (Maratta) Langsford. She died at home on August 29, 2009.
Carolyn was a graduate of Oaklandon High School, where she met her future husband, Bernard G. Klotz. They were married September 8, 1945, at Little Flower Catholic Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. The couple moved to Fishers, in Hamilton County, Indiana, in 1951, where they raised their eight children. Carolyn retired from St. Augustine's Home for the Aged. Her hobbies included baking and decorating cakes for birthdays, weddings, and special occasions. She was a member of the Rosary Society, and volunteered with the physical patterning of special needs children in Hamilton County. Carolyn and Bernard moved to Franklin, in Johnson County, Indiana in 2003.
Carolyn is survived by her eight children: Tina Cary and her husband Joe of Longmont, CO; Charles Klotz and his wife Marjorie of Waterloo, IL; Frank Klotz and his wife Patrice of Salinas, CA; Louise Guthrie and her husband Tom of Goshen, IN; Andy Klotz and his wife Deb of Carmel, IN; George Klotz of Guthrie, OK; Jean Clayton and her husband David of Guthrie, OK; and Cathie Henry and her husband Carl of Franklin, IN. She had 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by her husband, Bernard G. Klotz on November 3, 2005; and her 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will by held at Randall and Roberts Fishers Mortuary on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, from 4:00-8:00PM with a Rosary Service at 8:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be held in celebration of her life at St. Louis de Montfort Catholic Church on in Fishers on Wednesday, September 2, at 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Carolyn's family wish to thank Claudina Wilson for the love, support, dignity, and first rate care she provided to both Carolyn and Bernard Klotz in their golden years.
