Charles "Charlie" Hill

Charles "Charlie" F. Hill, 49, Fishers, passed away in a four-car accident on Friday, December 5, 2008. He was born March 11, 1959 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Frank C. and Linda (Rettig) Hill.
Charles graduated from Lawrence Central High School and Tri-State University and spent his entire professional career in the fire sprinkler industry. He worked for Ryan Fireprotection Inc. in Noblesville for 10 years having previously worked for Culligan Fire Protection of Indianapolis. He was a member of the National Fire Protection Association; having served on various technical committees. He was also a member of the Indiana Fire Sprinkler Association. Charlie was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Indianapolis.
The loves of his life were his family, gardening, biking, cooking, and his faith. He also loved attending and coaching all the sports that his children participated in.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Peggy A. (Stearley) Hill; son, F. Alex Hill; daughters, Stephanie A. & Jennifer M. Hill; parents; brother, Jeff A. Hill; sister, Jane A. (James) Callahan; mother-in-law, Colleen Stearley; brother-in-law, Mike (Donna) Stearley; brother-in-law, Pat Stearley; sister-in-law, Kathleen (Kevin) Gregory; sister-in-law, Annie (Bob) Moss; sister-in-law, Molly Stearley; nieces, Angela & Christine Callahan.
Services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at St. Matthews Catholic Church, with Father Paul Shikany & Father Glenn O'Conner officiating. Friends may call Monday, December 8, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
Charlie will always be remembered as a great helpful person and will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the St. Matthew Building Fund.
