Charles O. Pershing, 80, of Noblesville, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at home. He was born on May 9, 1933 to Owen and Gladys (Schwab) Pershing in Indianapolis.
Charles retired after over 20 years with Ex-Cell-O Corporation, where he had been a field service engineer. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy and was a Korean War veteran. In his youth, he had been an avid swimmer, diver and lifeguard.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen L. Pershing; daughters, Dawn Pershing & Kimberly Pershing; grandchildren, Daniel Shea (Shireena) Wells, Brandon (Amber) Mouser, Andrea (Tyler) Mouser & Jakob Chester; and great-grandchildren, Laraea, Dayanara, Lillyanna & Lakyn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randall Ray Pershing; sisters, Margaret Stafford & Barbara Rollings; and an uncle, John D. Pershing.
Family services will be held at a later date.
