Cora Fariss Obrecht, 96, of Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. She was born on December 27, 1915 to William and Florence (Bradfield) Coverdale in Noblesville.
Cora retired in 1980 after many years as a cook for various food service entities including Hamilton Hospital (1949-1951) & Riverview Hospital (1951-1957), where she had been a dietitian assistant. She had also been the lunch room manager for R4 District in Missouri, as well as owner of Ozark Cafe in Missouri. She was a member of White River Christian Church in Noblesville; a lifetime member of: VFW Ladies Auxiliary #6246, American Legion Unit 45 & the Senior Citizen's Organization; a member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 937, since 1984; and a member of the Hamilton County Salon #854 for 14 years.
She is survived by daughters, Sandra Maxine (Marvin) Good & Rita Bragg; sister, Violet Burrell; and, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren & great-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three husbands, Eddie E. Bragg, Clyde E. Fariss & John Obrecht; five sons, Eddie Bragg Jr, Charles R. Bragg, Richard Bragg, Robert Bragg & Wendell Bragg; three sisters, Dorothy Kemp, Annabelle Woods & Frances Bannon; and two brothers, Walter Coverdale & Edward Coverdale.
