Cyndi Simmerman

Cyndi Wicker McIlvain Simmerman, 71, of Fishers, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at her home.  She was born on May 10, 1947 to Howard and Elizabeth "Libby" (Stevens) Wicker in Connersville, Indiana.

Cyndi was a graduate of Connersville High School, Ball State, and Butler University, and worked as an art teacher and school counselor.  She directed several national and local folk dance groups, beginning with Dans Ethnic in 1975 and, until her recent illness, the Irish Blessings dancers.  Cyndi was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Noblesville.

She is survived by her husband, Jerrell Simmerman; daughters, Michele Baker and Abigail (Matt) Hall; brother, James Wicker; and nephew, Brian (Jill) Wicker.

In addition to her parents, Cyndi was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Wicker.

Services will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road in Fishers, with visitation from 5:00 pm to the time of service.  Rev. Adrian Piazza officiating.
