Dahyabhai Patel

Dahyabhai Ramdas Patel, 78, of Noblesville, IN passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville, of complications from pneumonia. He was born in Kavita, India on March 2, 1935. Dahyabhai married Rosalinda Sioco on June 3, 1962.
Dahyabhai received his BA degree in Civil Engineering from India and his MS degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Minnesota. He worked as a Chief Engineer at SOFCO in Cincinnati, OH for nine years, a Structural Engineer for LOM Architects in Indianapolis for six years, a Civil Engineer for Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, UT for two years, a Civil Engineer for Wright Patterson Air Force Base for 18 years, and with the Army Corps of Engineers for the last several years. He was a lifetime member of ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers). His hobbies included PTA membership for several schools, teaching, gardening and exercising.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, Rosalinda Patel, he is survived by granddaughter, Sasha Patel; sons, Vassant Patel and Haresh Patel; daughter, Nalini (William) Lebzelter; and other family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, IN 46062.
