Dale E. Cannaday, 79, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Riverview Hospital in Noblesville. He was born on January 14, 1934 to Robert and Iris (Barnard) Cannaday in Hamilton County, Indiana.
Dale retired from Guide in Anderson after 42 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church in Noblesville and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a loving husband, father & 'Papa' who loved going to the activities for his children and grandchildren. His hobby was his family.
He is survived by his wife, Charlene (Essex) Cannaday; daughter, Candie (Al) Crosby; sons, Bruce (Jami) Cannaday, Eric (Tammy) Cannaday & Chad (Katy) Cannaday; brothers, Tom Cannaday & Larry Cannaday; sisters, June Wood, Marilyn Schneider and Joyce Clark; grandchildren, Lee Hogan, Amber Hogan, Allie Crosby, Lucy Crosby, Colfax Cannaday, Tara Cannaday, Cody Cannaday, Sophie Cannaday, Reilly Cannaday & Brennan Cannaday; one great-grandchild, Keaton Cannaday.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Rafert.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, in Noblesville, with Pastor John Davis officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 11, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
