Dale  E. Griswold, 79, Noblesville, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at his residence in Noblesville. He was born December 29, 1929 in Indianapolis to Warren P. and Nellie (Etchison) Griswold.
Dale graduated from Lawrence Central H.S. in 1948. Since 1969, Dale was the owner and operator of the Hamilton County Livestock Auction and Auto Auction located in Strawtown. He also operated heavy equipment for the local union. Dale was a member of the Cumberland Masonic Lodge #726 F&AM. Work was his hobby. Dale was an avid trader.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Griswold of Noblesville; daughters, Laura (Mark) Reuter, Valerie (Shannon) Carson, and Rachel (Jeff) Hiatt, all of Noblesville; sisters, Dora Young of Anderson and Ruth (Raymond) Askren of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Spencer Carson, Maggie Reuter, Miranda Reuter, Leigh Anne Reuter, Ben Hiatt and Luke Hiatt; step-son, Ryan (Collette) Shepler; step-grandchildren, Dez, Brittany, and Shelby Gallimore and Dakota, Dawson, Grayson, and Hunter Shepler; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Griswold in 1994, and by a daughter, Maggie Griswold in 1971.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 9, 2009 at White River Christian Church, with Rev. Andrew Marshall officiating. Friends may call Sunday, February 8, 1:00 - 8:00PM at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with a Masonic service immediately following visitation at 8:00PM. Burial will be at the Carey Cemetery in Noblesville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Victory Chapel Community Church, 13786 E. 216th Street, Noblesville, IN  46060-7546.
