Daniel F. Edwards Jr.

Daniel F. Edwards Jr., 84, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at IU Health North Hospital in Carmel. He was born on January 8, 1931 to Daniel and Mae (Holcumbrink) Edwards in Millstadt, Illinois. His parents preceded him in death.
Daniel proudly served his country as an officer in the United States Air Force. He was a navigator and aircraft performance engineer aboard the B-36 Peacemaker as part of the Strategic Air Command. Daniel worked 30+ years as an engineer for the Department of Veteran's Affairs in several states. He also worked as an engineer for Pacific Architects & Engineers, Inc. in Germany & Greece. Daniel was a published poet, having written "Orange Snows" in 1972. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, and loved Greece.
Daniel is survived by his son, Daniel F. Edwards, III; his wife of 27 years, Maria S. Edwards; his sister, Rosemary Bevirt; and nieces & nephews, Cherie, Susie & David.
Services will be Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 7:30 pm at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with visitation from 5:00 pm to the time of service. Rev. Stanley R. Sutton will officiate. A graveside service with military rites will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Crown Hill Cemetery, 700 West 38th Street, in Indianapolis.
