Daniel A. Ibey

Daniel A. Ibey, 66, of Carmel, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018.  He was born on July 13, 1952 to Lawrence and Roberta (Peck) Ibey in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
For over 20 years, Daniel drove a concrete truck for IMI.  He was an avid boater who owned several boats and was a corporate member of the White River Yacht Club.  Daniel was almost famous when he drove the tour bus for Roadmaster band. He was a Jeep-aholic that spent much of his youth off roading. He loved dogs, and collected antique Tonkas. He adored his John Deere tractor and looked for any excuse to drive it. He loved to tell stories of his life adventures (often with a few embellishments).
Daniel is survived by his siblings, Mary F. (Dan) Krupa, Randy (Annette) Ibey, Tim (Lara) Ibey, James (Denise) Ibey, and Debbie (Joe) Marchese; fiancée, Holly Thompson, and Carolyn Ibey; nieces & nephews, Heather Ibey, and her fiancée Justin Beltrami, Aaron Ibey, Alex Ibey, Josh Ibey, Rachel Ibey, Tony Marchese, Joey Marchese and Sean Ibey; his first great nephew, Gavin Beltrami; and his beloved dogs, Max & Ralph, and Larry the cat.
In addition to his beloved parents, Larry and Roberta, Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Ibey; brothers, Darin Ibey and Tom Ibey; and his niece, Brandy Ibey.
Visitation will be from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, in Fishers.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 19th, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm, at the White River Yacht Club, 1400 E. 74th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240.
