Daniel W. Wood, 52, Fishers, passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at Indiana Heart Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born October 5, 1956 in Washington, Indiana to Eugene and Eunice (Bass) Wood.
Daniel graduated from Winslow High School in 1974 and Oakland City College in 1978. He held a Bachelors of Arts degree in elementary education and taught Junior-High Social Studies and Language Arts for 2 years at St. Marys School in Mt. Carmel, IL. He also coached basketball. For the last 25 years, he had worked for Allstate Insurance Company as a Claims Adjuster.
Daniel loved landscape gardening. He was a very devoted husband and father and much involved in his children's swimming at Southeastern Swim Club.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Wood, his son, Tyler Wood, his daughter, Jordyn Wood all of Fishers, brothers, Donald & Alan Wood, and sister, Sue Brewster.
He is preceded in death by his parents .
Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, with Rev. Mac Hamon officiating. Friends may call Monday, March 9, 4:00 - 8:00PM at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.
