Darrell Wire

Darrell E Wire, 76, Fishers, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at home. He was born November 29, 1933 in Anderson, IN to Moses and Blanche (Day) Wire.
Darrell had been an IndyStar newspaper deliverer for many years. He had also worked for K-Mart, Sears & Quickie Mart in Anderson; for Sun Blessed Golf Course; and had been a bartender at Clara's Pub.
His accomplished woodworking skills were evident in the shadow boxes & bird houses that he built. He also wrote poetry and enjoyed drawing.
He is survived by son, Darrell Wire, Jr of New Jersey; daughter, Kristina Wilson of Texas; son, Kelly Wire of New Mexico; daughter, Sally Applegate of Franklin; sister, Bonnie Menefee of Anderson; sister, Jackie Shelborne of Rochester; brother, David Wire of Indianapolis; sister, Jewel Eason of Westfield; sister, Linda Tucker of Fishers; brother, Tom Wire of Noblesville; brother, Mike Wire of Noblesville; brother, Ted Wire of Anderson; ten grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Felton) Wire; daughter, Darleen Klaus; two sisters, Evelyn Fisher & Edith Hinshaw; and a brother Ben Wire.
Services will be held at 3:00PM on Friday, December 4, 2009 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home in Noblesville, with calling beginning at 1:00PM immediately prior to the service.
